Merger Control: How Remedies are Approached in Different Jurisdictions Session 1.

    12 PM EDT

Over the last decade, consolidation has accelerated in a variety of industries. Several high-profile mergers have been proposed between former competitors, and enforcement authorities are being faced with increasingly challenging and complex transactions. In this context, companies must be ready to propose innovative and effective remedies to resolve potential competitive concerns in order to get their deals through.

In Fall 2015, the International Antitrust Committee published a newsletter analyzing approaches to remedies in 16 jurisdictions. This series of two programs draws on several authors of the newsletter articles to discuss different approaches to merger remedies.

Moderator:  Miguel Del Pino Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal

    Speakers:

    • Brazil: Jose Carlos da Matta Berardo, Barbosa, Mussnich & Aragao Advogados
    • USA: Jason D. Cruise, Latham & Watkins LLP
    • Spain: Oriol Armengol I Gasull, Perez-Llorca
