FTC v. Sysco/US Foods Perspectives from the Trenches

    12:30 PM EDT

The FTC scored a big win when a federal judge issued an injunction blocking the $8.2 billion proposed Sysco / US Foods merger in June 2015. The court agreed with the FTC that broadline foodservice distribution services sold to national customers was its own relevant market. This panel gathers practitioners that lived and breathed market definition and other issues as representatives of the parties in FTC v. Sysco / US Foods to discuss the court’s decision and its implications for merging parties a year later.
