    Program Overview:

In 2015 the 114th Congress passed by overwhelming margins separate and differing legislation in the House and Senate that would amend the Toxic Substances Control Act.  Successful efforts that commenced early in 2016 reconciled the two bills, culminating in the House and Senate passing the final legislation in recent weeks.  President Obama is expected to sign the amendments soon.  This special Committee Call will review the legislation, provide insight about the reconciliation negotiations, and consider how the legislation will be likely affect Agency resources and decision making, the regulated community, consumers and public interest organizations, and the environment.  Speakers include current and former EPA officials, as well as trade association and NGO leaders who had a significant role in developing the legislation.

Moderator: Larry Culleen, Partner, Arnold & Porter LLP
