Unless you’re psychic, it can be difficult to learn what’s on the mind of in-house counsel. But don’t fret! Our speakers will provide some insight and discuss how they choose the right law firm or legal advisor for them; how to review the quality of work; how to agree on fee-structure, alternative arrangements and conflicts; how to manage the matter as it progresses; how to evaluate partners and associates completing work; and how to evaluate overall performance once the project is complete.
Attorneys in private practice and consulting roles who represent corporate clients have regular dealings with their clients’ in-house legal teams. Outside counsel often work at the direction of in-house counsel and report directly to them on the status and developments of a case. This call will provide practice tips from experienced attorneys who represent organizations as outside counsel. The call will highlight some of the key challenges—and opportunities—that exist when representing a client who also happens to be a discerning lawyer.
