    ABA Advertising, Consumer Protection, and Privacy Law Networking Happy Hour

    6 PM EDT

    Please join members of the advertising, consumer protection and privacy law community for our annual summer networking event at Covington & Burling’s DC office on July 15th at 6 p.m.  Those in attendance will include local practitioners, regulators, in-house attorneys, and others with related interests. In addition to meeting other practitioners in the field, this event is a great opportunity to learn how to get more involved in the ABA’s advertising, privacy, and consumer protection committees.  Past networking receptions have been well attended with a good mix of attorneys from a broad array of backgrounds and we hope for the same this year.

    The event will begin with a brief Q&A regarding careers in advertising, consumer protection and privacy law and then follow with a cocktail reception for prospective and current practitioners in the field.  The Q&A will feature:

    * Khaliah Barnes, Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC)
    * Svetlana Gans, Division of Marketing Practices, Federal Trade Commission
    * Donnelly McDowell, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP
    * Megan Olsen, Walgreens
