Developments in Student Privacy and Security
9:30 AM EDT
The explosion of website, apps, and products for schools have created an opportunity for schools to empower their teachers and students through the power of data driven innovation. At the same time, there are important concerns surrounding how to protect students' privacy and security while delivering these benefits. Existing law; proposed legislation by the President, Congress, and the states; and industry pledges are striving to meet this balance. Please join us for this panel that will explore existing and potential future student privacy laws and how they might strive to protect privacy and security while promoting beneficial data-driven education.
