The last decade has exposed the legal profession around the world to unprecedented change forces.  Client demands have increased while their loyalty has shrunk.  Sophisticated buyers of legal services have added enormous cost pressure, willing to change providers if savings are not found.  New competitors, offering legal managed services to both end clients and - increasingly - law firms, have emerged and are growing rapidly.

The regulators of the legal profession in several jurisdictions, most notably in Australia and in England & Wales, have opened up the legal practice to outside ownership, ushering in an era what some call the "corporatization of the law practice", while others refer to it as the "professionalization of amateurishly run law firms".

This program offers insights into new business models for lawyers and law firms around the world.  The speakers will introduce their approach to providing legal service and detail some of the unique features - and challenges - that their businesses possess.
