When Silence Is Consent: Negative Option Marketing

This program will discuss the legal frameworks in the US, UK and Israel for challenging negative option/recurring charges scams in which advertising illegally fails to disclose in a clear and conspicuous manner that a consumer will incur recurring charges after an initial charge, or, a consumer must exercise a negative option in order to prevent recurring charges. The program also will include presentation of recent cases.
