Agency Practice Tips for Rising Antitrust Lawyers
Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, 12:30 PM EDT
Agency practice has intensified lately; both the FTC and the DOJ have made it clear they are willing to use their full statutory authority to enforce the antitrust laws. For attorneys new to this area of practice – whether inside an agency or outside at a law firm – the agency process may seem at times like a walled garden difficult to break into. This panel is designed to help change that.
Our panelists, who comprise experienced practitioners from different facets of the agency process, will provide an overview of the agency practice at the DOJ and the FTC. They will share their experiences inside the government and outside, and they will offer practical guidance and advocacy pointers for those attorneys interested in pursuing a similar path.
Importantly, the panel will be interactive, and time will be dedicated at the end of the discussion to take questions from the audience on issues ranging from how they began agency work, their experience doing so, and best practices. If you are intrigued by the thought of agency practice, or doing more of it in your career, this panel is for you.
