Using a hypothetical case and mock discovery materials, participants in this program will take, defend, and observe mock depositions of real experts from Ankura Consulting Group LLC ("Ankura"), under the guidance of experienced trial lawyers and judges who will provide participants with feedback and technical advice.
The dynamic program will be broken in out into four breakout sessions (morning and afternoon). It will also include a luncheon presentation and a networking reception to conclude the workshop. For each morning session, the participant will take one 40-minute deposition and defend another 40-minute deposition of the Ankura expert. Feedback and instruction will be provided individually from the faculty. Attendees will also observe peer deposition techniques, styles and strategies, and get additional coaching from the faculty. The afternoon sessions will provide the same format as the morning session, with different faculty members providing the coaching and instruction for the examination of another real expert witness from Ankura.
