    This panel discussion on “The Role of Mediation in Law Enforcement” is moderated by Geoff Drucker. The program will feature panelists including:

     

    • Rochelle Howard, Deputy Director of the D.C. Office of Police Complaints
    • Robert Haferd and Alex Lambert, Attorneys with the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia who specialize in Juvenile Justice Reform
    • Lieutenant Brian Ruck, School Liaison Commander and Fairfax County Police Department lead with the Fairfax County Alternative Accountability Planning Program
    • David T. Deal, Deal Consulting & Dispute Resolution LLC

     

    This program will explain how mediation is being used as an alternative or supplement to the criminal justice system, and as a means of promoting constructive dialogue and improved understanding between law enforcement officers and citizens. 

     

    There is no charge to attend this program, but we ask that you do register to get an accurate headcount.


    This event will commence with an opportunity to network with other chapter professionals--so be sure to bring your business cards as well as your brownbag lunch. The Section will provide drinks and cookies to all attendees
