2018 Property Insurance Law Committee Spring CLE Conference: What Keeps You Up at Night?

    Westin Nashville, 4 PM GMT

    Dear Colleagues,

We hope you can come to the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section’s Property Insurance Law Committee Spring Conference in Nashville, TN March 1-3, 2018. This year’s conference will be held at the beautiful Westin Hotel, located in downtown Nashville, just steps from the Honky Tonk Highway and Grand Ole Opry. TIPS is offering a phenomenal discounted rate of $279 to stay at this centrally-located location.

The 2018 conference topic is “What Keeps You Up At Night?” Our speakers, who include lawyers and consultants from both sides of the aisle, will offer their expert analysis on cutting edge issues that affect areas unique to property insurance law. These topics and discussion do more than scratch the surface of property insurance legal issues. They dive deep into the issues that insurers, insureds, and their lawyers and consultants recognize are on the immediate horizon and, essentially, worry our industry to the extent we are kept up at night. The conference will also address legal issues raised by the recent and unprecedented number of property catastrophes (from hurricanes to wild fires). The Conference will close with a discussion of the sticky situations lawyers can find themselves in when it comes to the internet and the ethics of online content and searching.

Our distinguished group of speakers is comprised of seasoned practitioners, industry professionals, in-house counsel, and industry experts. They will offer engaging and enthusiastic insight into the legal issues affecting the property insurance industry as well as resources and case law discussion attendees can take with them to use in their practice.

In addition to the excellent CLE learning opportunities, this conference offers opportunities to network with colleagues who know and understand property insurance law. Attendees often engage (and are encouraged to engage) with the panelists in lively debates and offer their own insights. We will also have a social service project to give back to the Nashville community, and, to build comradery among the attendees, a Dutch-treat Honky Tonk Highway Tour will be organized for Friday night.

Our meeting will end with our annual in-person Spring Business Meeting where we invite all attendees to join us for lunch to discuss the business of the Property Insurance Law Committee.

Bring your notepads for notes during the day and your boots for fun in the evening and join us for the Property Insurance Law Spring CLE Conference. We look forward to seeing y’all there!
