Since many overseas businesses and families are impacted by changes in US immigration law and practice, this program will inform ABA members located outside of the USA about recent changes. This program will equip lawyer and non-lawyers alike with the basics of the recent shifts so that they may provide basic guidance to their clients in need of help. The program will also assist the audience on how to locate the appropriate lawyer in the U.S. to assist with any complications in business cases, family cases and deportation situations. Speakers will address the impact that the new policies may have on private sector employers within the United States which employ foreign nationals, as well as international organizations such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
