    Mid-Atlantic Chapter January Brownbag

American Bar Association, 12 PM GMT

The practice of ombuds is expanding both in government and in the private sector, yet the unique challenges and legal issues for an ombuds may still be somewhat mysterious, even for those in the dispute resolution world. Two former federal government ombuds, Howard Gadlin (NIH) and Miriam Nisbet (National Archives), will share their experiences and lessons learned in forging new ground at their agencies.

In addition, the brown-bag offers an opportunity to meet the Section's new Director, Linda Warren Seely, who joined the ABA a few months ago in September. Your questions and comments for all three speakers will round out a lively exchange.

This event will commence with an opportunity to network with other chapter professionals--so bring your business cards! We hope you will join us, and please bring your lunch! Parking is available in the building from Central Parking.  The entrance is on 18th Street between K and L Streets, NW.
