Be the Boss! Series: Part 1, Managing Up, Down and Sideways
6 PM GMT
As young attorneys grow into their legal careers, they are tasked with ever increasing responsibilities—including running case teams, managing client expectations, and becoming a partner’s indispensable resource. Although mastering the management techniques necessary to navigate the transition from simply following orders to leading the charge is critically important in elevating a young lawyer’s career, these “soft skills” are rarely addressed in even the best of professional development programs. Our panel will discuss common management challenges faced by antitrust attorneys in the middle of their careers and impart successful strategies for managing up (partners and clients), down (junior associates), and sideways (experts, economists, and co-counsel) and to “Be the Boss!”
Stay for the fall reception after the panel and enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and conversation with your fellow antitrust practitioners.
