Your CLE Request and Certificates

CLE Affidavit Form and Certificates

Please complete the CLE Affidavit form to verify your participation in each CLE program you attend.  The link you receive is specific to your attendance and should not be shared with other attendees. Combined with staff verification of your attendance, we'll use the information you provide to issue certificates automatically, maintain our participation records, and submit your attendance to states which allow us to do so when you submit the form.

Once you've completed your request and your attendance is verified, you'll be able to download your certificates receive your certificates via email.  If there are any updates to your certificates (such as a state approval), you'll automatically receive an updated certificate via email.

Single Session Affidavit Form

The form is set to mark you for full attendance as a general attendee if you attest to your participation. Partial credit is not available for single session programs.

If you are a faculty member, select Faculty from the Attendee menu and complete the additional fields. 

Then confirm or adjust your bar states on the form and click continue to review your request.

Multi Session Affidavit Form

Check to mark each session you attended.  You must notmark the sessions you did not attend.  

For each session you select, you are initially set as a general attendee.  If you are a faculty member, select Faculty from the Attendee menu and complete the additional fields.  

For each session you select, you are initially set to full participation. If you wish to mark partial attendance, select "partial" from the attendance drop down and enter the number of minutes you attended. Note that partial session attendance is not allowed for New York licensed attorneys.

Note for concurrent sessions: You will only be able to select one concurrent session. This includes if you partially attended more than one session at each concurrent time (i.e. 30 minutes at session 1 and 30 minutes at session 2 during the same concurrent time).

Note for multi-day programs: Click on a day's header to open and close the sessions from that day.  After the last session for a day, click on the date of the following day to open the sessions for the next day.

Selecting your Credit and Certificates

After selecting your sessions, please select your certificate/credit type and confirm or add your jurisdictions if you are seeking

If we have your bar states on record, they will be listed and checked for you to receive credit.  If all looks OK, you can go ahead and submit.

If you would like to add a new certificate or certificate type, please select one of the options listed.

  • Attorney MCLE (U.S. and Canada)
    • To be checked by attendees seeking CLE credit
    • Activates “Add Attorney MCLE Jurisdiction (U.S. and Canada)" button
    • Attorneys can click “Add Attorney MCLE Jurisdiction (U.S. and Canada)"  and then select a jurisdiction.  Your Bar ID will be required in some states.  If you add your Bar Admission year, we'll save your selection for future programs.
    • You can add each jurisdiction you are licensed in.
  • Paralegal (U.S. and Canada)
    • To be checked by paralegals seeking CLE credit
    • Activates “Add Paralegal Jurisdiction" button
    • Click the “Add Paralegal Jurisdiction" and select a jurisdiction.
    • Paralegals can addone or more states as they have in the past, but bar year and bar ID are not requested
  • General Certificate of Completion
    • To be checked by anyone where other categories don’t apply (general attendees, international attorneys and paralegals, etc.)
    • Automatically adds the generic certificate without any additional steps, does not allow attendee to enter jurisdiction ID
  • CPE for Accountancy (NASBA)
    • Only appears if NASBA credit is activated for your program in ABA’s MCLE system
    • To be checked by anyone seeking accountancy credit through NASBA
    • Automatically adds the NASBA certificate without any additional steps, does not allow attendee to enter jurisdiction ID

Adding Notification Recipients

If you want someone else to receive a copy of your certificates, click "Add Recipient" and enter the additional receipient’s email.

Attest to your Participation

Click "I so attest" and "Continue". Note that you are attesting that the information you are providing is true and correct and that you are entitled to claim the credit requested through the form.

Review your Request and Submit

Please review your request. If you want to make changes, click the "back" button on the interface. If you are ready to submit, click the Submit button.  For multi-day programs you can click the Save for Later button to save it for later without submitting.

Thank You Page and Certificates

As your attendance has been verified by our staff, your thank you page will summarize your request and allow you to download your certificates. You'll receive an e-mail notification including the certificates as well.

Updating Your CLE Affidavit

If you need to correct your CLE request, you may use the same link you used to initially complete your request.  Your previous options will be displayed -- just make your updates and resubmit.

Viewing Your Certificates

Certificates are issued in PDF.  If you have both attendee and faculty certificates for a state, they'll be in the same PDF as multiple pages. If you have multiple certificates, the PDFs for each state will be in a zip file.

Opening a PDF

We recommend opening PDFs in Acrobat Reader.  On iOS devices, the default preview program may not display all fields.  We recommend using the Acrobat Reader app or viewing your certificates on another device.

Opening a Zip File

Desktop PCs and Macs will open Zip files with the software built into Windows or MacOs. 

On iOS devices, click on the certificates.zip file from your browser or email. Click "Open in 'Files'”, select a location on your iCloud drive or on your phone.  The file will save and then you can preview the contents or share. Other apps available via the App Store can open zip files as well.

On Android devices, please consult your app store for files capable of opening zip files.  Your device may also have native functionality for opening and previewing zip files.
