CDs, CD-ROMs, and DVDs

General Information

Recorded CLE programs provided as audio CDs, CD-ROMs, or DVDs with either printed or electronic course materials.

Please note the ABA offers audio and video products in these formats and as of July 1, 2017 are no longer eligible for credit from the ABA. Programs purchased prior to this date may be eligible for limited accreditation according to the information provided at the time of purchase.

Accreditation Information

The ABA is no longer directly accrediting these formats for MCLE credit in any jurisdiction. Some states allow attorneys to earn self-study credit through self-submission. View accreditation information for your state at americanbar.org/mcle.

Participation Reporting

The ABA does not report participation to your state accrediting agency for product formats such as CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs, and downloads.  Attorneys must report their participation in these formats per their accrediting agency's requirements.

A Note About MCLE Credit

The content on this page is for informational and educational purposes only. Each state has its own rules and regulations indicating what qualifies for CLE credit.  Certain programs, subjects, and formats may not receive credit in some states and there may be specific rules regarding who may earn credit or the maximum number of credit hours that may be earned with specific formats.  Please contact your state MCLE regulatory entity for specific questions about your MCLE rules.
