Let's admit it: the delivery of legal services has been disrupted by generative AI tools, particularly Large Language Models that can do some tasks performed by lawyers faster and better. As a result, some states are changing the Rules of Professional Conduct to allow nonlawyers and technology to enter the legal delivery space. This webinar discusses those changes and the potential for benefiting both lawyers and the public.

Learning Objectives:

Learn how and why certain state supreme courts are implementing entity regulation, modifying or eliminating the effects of Model Rule of Professional Conduct 5.4 in the process.
Participants will learn what regulatory sandboxes are and how and why certain state supreme courts are implementing regulatory sandboxes to allow new people and technologies to enter the legal services industry.
Learn how reconceiving UPL rules may allow generative AI and LLMs in particular to open up opportunities for lawyers and others to reach new target markets for services.
