    The panel will explore the opportunities for transactional environment, energy and resource lawyers created by the coming wave of investments and developments made possible by federal funding from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Recent legislation provides new and larger sources of funds and tax credits for projects and transactions related to renewable energy developments and environmental infrastructure. The Brownfields program, for instance, has more funding than ever. Investment funds and companies are focusing on decarbonization. Companies are looking to re-shore supply chain components that have proven vulnerable to international upheavals. Attendees will receive an overview of the drivers for the next decades? project opportunities that will rely upon significant federal funding and that will be expected to incorporate environmental justice (EJ) and environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations and objectives.
