      From the 2024 Business Law Section Spring Meeting: Third-party closing opinions typically use qualifications and exclusions to strike a balance between providing recipients with sufficient comfort on matters of importance to them, while mitigating the risks to opinion givers. Occasionally, however, recipients and givers are at odds over whether a particular opinion request is out of bounds. A panel of seasoned opinion givers will provide guidance on identifying and protecting against overreaching opinion requests.
