This webinar will explore the scope of impact of financial abuse of older adults by looking at available data and illustrative case studies, look at common scams perpetrated on older adults, the ways in which older adults may be susceptible to financial exploitation, indicators of abuse, and available tools and legal frameworks that can help prevent financial abuse. This program will specifically assist attorneys working with and advising older adults and their families to understand the risks that older adults face and the extent of harm that can occur as a result of financial abuse, to better spot vulnerabilities and signs of attempted or ongoing abuse, and to advise clients as to available remedies and protective measures to prevent financial exploitation.
