Specifically, the presenters will discuss Model Rules 1.2 and 1.5, including the scope of representation, contingency fees, splitting fees, and alternative fee arrangements. Within the discussion, the presenters will also address expense details and best practices for drafting fee agreements. Lastly, the presenters will explain why no attorney should be caught in the "hostage situation" as can arise under Rules 1.5 and 1.16.
