On March 15, 2018, a 175-foot section of a pedestrian bridge under construction at the Florida International University collapsed on an active roadway, killing six people and injuring ten. In this session we'll examine the unique insurance issues raised by this event, discuss the role of the peer reviewer for the project, and hear a forensic analysis of the causes of this collapse, with a focus on identifying "lessons learned" that construction lawyers can apply and implement with their own clients.
