This program will survey three discrete and timely topics in fair lending. Panelist will explore the various legal, regulatory, operational, and reputational challenges associated with (1) creating and administering special purpose credit programs to help expand credit access; (2) generating accurate, principal reasons for adverse action notices, when using machine learning models in underwriting; and (3) mitigating bias in automated valuation models (which will also include a discussion of the CFPB's proposed rulemaking).
