A Court Divided: October Term 2023
Are you a more experienced lawyer wondering how to leverage your knowledge to assist younger lawyers with the adversarial nature of the profession vs the tenets of civility, professionalism and one's ethical obligations? Are you a younger lawyer who is often willing to take on too much work to become competent while communicating in a manner that may be different than more experienced attorneys?

Join in, and receive an hour of that coveted professionalism credit, as a panel of experts offer insights and practical tips on how to bridge the generational divide within law firms and the legal profession to ensure that younger lawyers develop the necessary skills and an equitable opportunity to advance through the ranks within the new normal legal landscape. The panel will also dive into how the younger generation of lawyers can teach the "old dog" new tricks in communicating with colleagues and clients, representing clients, and beyond. The panel moderated by Lindsey D. Draper, Institute for Well-Being in Law, VP Diversity, Equity,& Inclusion and including Dean Dietrich, Ethics Committee member, State Bar of Wisconsin and Shareholder Weld Riley, SC; Jessica Chinnadurai, former member of the ABA Commission on Lawyer's Assistance Programs (CoLAP) and former Chair of ABA CoLAP's Communications Committee; and Carol Waldhauser, Executive Director of the Delaware Lawyers Assistance Program will highlight that lawyers, no matter their experience, have more in common than meets the eye and that both younger and senior lawyers are equally relevant to the evolving legal practice.
