Corporate Director's Guidebook, Eighth Edition
Business Law Basics | Listen to both a bankruptcy expert and a civil litigator often involved in complex and mass tort bankruptcy cases discuss the role of claims in complex corporate bankruptcy cases. The webinar will begin by canvassing the many roles of "claims" in a bankruptcy case by Kyung Lee. Andrew Troop will then discuss role of claims in the Purdue Pharma case and the issues that can arise from representing multiple entities and handling of claims associated with multiple clients. Richard Frankel will give us his insights developed after having been involved in several complex bankruptcy cases (including, PG&E) in which he represented a large group of contingent and unliquidated personal and property damage claims. He will also discuss issues non-bankruptcy lawyers confront in the ultimate claims allowance process, including the steps claimants must comply with in getting paid.
