Clean water is essential to our survival as human beings. In recent years, the enforcement landscape around water has changed as EPA under various administrations has worked to balance the availability of clean water for human health and the significance of water in our countrys economic development and success. In the enforcement space, the definition of a water of the US and EPAs jurisdictional power remain critical questions, particularly in light of recent court decisions that include Pascua Yaqui Tribe v. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This panel will explore these questions along with some of EPAs emerging water enforcement priorities, and what those priorities mean for industry and individuals alike.
