The panel will provide an overview of the initiative adopted by over a dozen states to cap interest rates on consumer loans at 36%. These states have taken an “all in” approach with consumer loans to impose limits on the charges included with the credit transaction, including fees in connection with ancillary products and debt cancellation contracts. The session will also discuss the legal implications of this state trend and compliance considerations for businesses.
