Stories Mediators Tell - World Edition
The digital age has equipped us with new tools that can streamline the mediation process, especially during pandemic times. However, technology does not replace the human aspect and touch that we bring as trained mediators and ADR professionals. In this keynote, Angela will remind you of the core principles that inspired each of you to join the profession and that drive the work you do every day.

The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has forced us as ADR and mediation professionals to evolve and embrace new technologies and competencies in this digital world. Even before the pandemic, we all had a sense that change was among us, and that it would not be long before we all had to ?move our cheese,? or else we soon would become extinct and not able to effectively engage in the profession.
While the digital age has equipped us with the tools we need to continue doing business and servicing clients, especially during pandemic times, it does not replace the human aspect and touch that we bring as trained mediators and ADR professionals. We must see these new tools as efficiencies only. We must remain true to delivering services to our clients and creating an ADR process that is fair and equitable, and that establishes a neutral and balanced approach where all parties and counsel involved leave the process feeling as though they were heard and with a healthy appreciation for the power of mediation in resolving their differences.
Technology cannot create this effect. Only you as trained ADR professionals who are committed to this work can do that. In this keynote, Angela will remind you of the core principles that inspired each of you to become mediators and ADR professionals and that drive the work you do every day.
