During this webinar, Professors Keith and Rosenbaum will provide an overview of American Rescue Plan Act changes:
1.Building on existing Affordable Care Act ("ACA") subsidies by a.Extending ACA subsidies to higher-income people who do not currently qualify for 2021 and 2022;
b.Increasing ACA subsidies for lower-income people who already qualify for 2021 and 2022;
c.Providing maximal ACA subsidies for individuals that receive unemployment benefits in 2021; and
d.Preventing taxpayers who misestimated their income in 2020 from having to repay excess premium tax credits at tax time.
2.Providing subsidies for COBRA continuation coverage.
3.Expanding Medicaid and CHIP coverage
