In 2009 the American Arbitration Association (AAA) created the AAA A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr. Fellows Program ("AAA Higginbotham Fellows Program") in order to provide training, mentorship and networking opportunities for up and coming diverse alternative dispute resolution professionals.
It has been recognized by the New York Law Journal's Diversity Initiative Project as an effort that "confront[s] barriers to attracting, training, retaining or supporting diverse talent, and create[s] realistic initiatives to overcome those obstacles and provide ongoing opportunities for growth and advancement."
Alumni will discuss their experiences with the Program and how it impacted their ADR career path. The panel will also engage in a broader discussion on the importance of diversity in the ADR profession.
The content of this program does not meet requirements for continuing legal education (CLE) accreditation. You will not receive CLE credit for viewing.
