Attorneys can find themselves in a grand ole bit of trouble if they do not properly identify and cure conflicts. This panel will delve into the rules of professional responsibility concerning spotting and resolving conflicts related to current clients (Model Rules 1.6 and 1.7) and former clients (Model Rules 1.9); imputation of conflicts (Model Rule 1.10); and the special considerations that former and current government attorneys need to undertake (Model Rule 1.11). Be prepared to take notes as our panel will share their thoughts on effectively tracking your representations and adversities; drafting waivers and screens; and managing client relations through sticky situations.
