Attendees will learn fundamental requirements for the air, water, and waste permitting required of industrial and agricultural operations. By focusing on the rapidly growing distillery and hemp operations in Tennessee and Kentucky, the panel will also address the unique and challenging requirements these commercial activities face, which are imposed by local, state, and federal agencies. In addition to air and water discharge permits, the panel will explore the siting and zoning requirements, local municipal restrictions and permits, federal licenses and permits, energy demands, pesticide management, local disasters, and potential civil and administrative liabilities that face these and other expanding industries.
