Closed Captioned. Co-sponsored by the ABA's Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence and the ABA Tax Section's Pro Bono and Tax Clinics Committee, this panel will discuss how nothing and everything has changed curing COVID-19 from the perspective the domestic relations bar, tax practitioners, and a TAS attorney advisor experienced in working with the Innocent Spouse Unit.

The 90-minute CLE will cover crossover issues involving family law, tax law, and how coordination between domestic relations practitioners and tax practitioners could serve our clients' best interests regarding the EIP, tax filing issues, and federal income tax liabilities. For the domestic relations practitioner, this will function as a primer on Economic Impact Payments and return filing. For the tax practitioner, this will function as a primer on domestic relations law.

    Panelists:

    • Jamie Andree, Legal Services of Indiana LITC, Bloomington, IN
    • The Honorable Bernadette DSouza, New Orleans, LA
