Closed Captioned. Through an overview of federal and state laws and regulations, join our panel as they explore the basics of historic preservation. The breadth of issues begins with the eligibility determination for listing properties on the National Register of Historic Places and continues with a discussion of the primary requirements for properties that are designated on the register.
Our panel will work through some illustrative examples of pitfalls in registration and use of listed properties as a means to explain the environmental consultant's role when supporting the landowner's legal team to avoid or navigate various preservation pitfalls. As an integral part of this program, the panel will identify the governmental regulatory bodies charged with protecting historic properties and describe how they work with landowners and other governmental agencies to protect historic properties.
With panelists from the National Trust for Historic Preservation and MacRostie Historic Advisors LLC, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better CLE program on this topic
