Equine Law has become increasingly popular since the equine industry has a $122 billion economic impact on the U.S. economy, with 7.2 million horses and employing 1.74 million people (according to the American Horse Council's 2017 economic impact study of the U.S. Horse Industry).
Our panel will address negligence liability and equine activity liability acts (now in 48 states) as well as elements of contracts that lawyers are often asked to draft -- boarding contracts, leases, and sales agreements. For lawyers assisting their clients with risk management, faculty will address waivers/releases and insurance coverage.
