Registration Information

Phone and Mail Order Options

To register by phone please contact the ABA Service Center at (800) 285-2221 [International (312) 988-5000]. Please have the event title and event code ready. The service center is available Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET.

To register by mail please download the ABA Mail Order Form. Please allow two weeks for processing

Cancellation Policy

Please contact the ABA Service Center at (800) 285-2221 [International (312) 988-5000] to cancel your participation in a program. Cancellations and refunds will be honored as follows:

In-Person Events

  • Cancellations received five (5) business days or more before the program will receive a 100% refund, less a $50 cancellation fee
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations after that date; however, substitute registrants are welcome before the program starts
  • Registrants who do not cancel within the allotted time period and who do not attend the program will receive a copy of the program course materials after the program

Webinars

  • Cancellations received two (2) business days or more before the program will receive a 100% refund, less a $25 cancellation fee
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations after that date; however, substitute registrants are welcome at any time before the program

Group Discounts

In-Person Events

Save when you register three (3) or more attendees for in-person events:

  • 3 - 5 attendees - SAVE 5%
  • 6 - 10 attendees - SAVE 10%
  • 10+ attendees - Contact ABACLE for even greater discounts

Webinars

Save 20% when you register three (3) or more attendees for webinars. To register please contact the ABA Service Center at (800) 285-2221 [International (312) 988-5000]. Please have the event title and event code ready. Each registraint must log into the webinar individually on their own computer/device to participate and receive CLE credit (if applicable).

Scholarships

Scholarships to defray tuition expense for ABACLE programs are available upon application on a program-by-program, case-by-case basis. Preference will be given to public interest lawyers, government lawyers, full-time law professors, solo or small firm practitioners of limited means, and unemployed attorneys.

Scholarship applications must be received at least two (2) weeks before the program start date. You will be notified prior to the program if your application is approved. A minimum fee may be charged on all approved scholarship applications to defray expenses. For programs with tuition costs over $500, qualifying attorneys will receive at least a 50% reduction in the course fee(s).

Program Confirmation

In-Person Events

Written confirmation of your registration will be sent to you upon receipt. Please bring it with you to the In-Person Event as proof of registration. If you do not receive the confirmation notice prior to the presentation, please contact the ABA Service Center at (800) 285-2221 [International (312) 988-5000] at least 24 hours in advance to confirm that your registration was received and the program is being held as scheduled.

ABA Meetings Policy

The open meetings policy states that meetings are open to all members of the Association and representatives of the media, except executive sessions. When media interest is present, Media Relations & Strategic Communications will screen and qualify reporters, handle media registration and issue "news media" badges.

Media Credentials Policy

ABA media credentials are available to reporters, editors working as reporters, producers, video camera operators and still photographers who present valid press identification. Exceptions must be approved by the Director of the ABA Division for Media Relations and Communication Services.

CART Access

CART services may be available for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Attendees. CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) service provides instant accessibility for the deaf and hard of hearing by delivering the spoken word as a realtime stream of text. CART service for this program is firewall-friendly and works in almost any network environment with Internet access, and is compatible with all major web browsers.
