DiMatteo, For the better part of the twentieth century, fidelity insurance was provided on an “employee dishonesty” basis. Over time, these policies were refined and augmented with new terms, conditions, and definitions for purposes of better defining covered dishonesty. The dishonesty coverage was further clarified by decades of precedent defining the murky nuances of manifest intent and causation.
