Preparing Clients for Custody Evaluations
Third party evaluations can be enormously helpful to the court in contested custody cases. As the judge is only able to observe the parties in court and rarely meets the child or children involved, a third-party evaluation, such as a custody evaluation, psychological evaluation, or Guardian ad Litem report, can provide additional critical information for judges. Such evaluations can further help complete the picture of the parties, the child or children whose custody is at issue, and the circumstances of the case.
