Military VITA Volunteer Opportunity in metro Washington, DC and San Antonio, TX!

Tax Section volunteers will be asked to train the preparers who will assist military service members and their families with income tax preparation at local military bases. Each month the Section of Taxation highlights the actions, endeavors or achievements of one of our outstanding members. This month the Section recognizes Marjorie Roberts for her commitment and dedication to the Section and its work. Marjorie Roberts has been involved with the ABA Tax Section for several decades. While at the Department of the Treasury, she addressed a Tax Section meeting during the summer of 1986 on the changes to meals and entertainment expense deductions. She has been an active member of the Tax Section and regularly attends the May Meeting in Washington, D.C. She also authored “A Harbor View” a chapter in the Tax Section’s publication Careers in Tax Law.
