Chair's Welcome

christine grant

The Section of Science & Technology Law warmly invites you to attend all of the spectacular programs and events we have planned at the ABA Annual Meeting in San Francisco, August 5-8, 2010.  This year we have seven CLE programs ranging from the visionary to the practical, such as cloud computing issues, digital revolution and e-discovery, hackers versus scientists, issues facing top general counsel, liability issues in personal and service robotics, technology's impact on healthcare, and virtual law.  These programs promise to be both informative and thought provoking with a diverse array of speakers. We also hope you will join us for our networking events. The Section's Annual Luncheon will be held on Friday, August 6th at the Westin San Francisco Market Street Hotel and the Section's Welcome Reception will be held in the historic and lovely Palace Hotel on Friday night. You may click here to register today to save $100 at the early registration rate and make your hotel reservation.

The Section is headquartered at the Westin San Francisco Market Street Hotel.  All of our business meetings will take place at the Westin and the CLE programs will be held at the Moscone Convention Center, which is about 3 blocks from the Westin. Guests may walk to cable cars and street trolleys that ride to China Town, Alcatraz and Fisherman's Wharf. Art and theatre abounds at the world-renowned San Francisco Museum of Modern of Art and the theatre district, spread out within a five-block radius. Additionally, for those guests looking to experience spectacular nearby shopping, Westin Hotel is located just two blocks from Union Square, featuring high-end shopping. Whether it's a theater performance, a walk through a highly acclaimed museum, a ride on a restored 1906 carousel, or just a stroll in the gardens, families and couples alike can find a full day and evening of fun just steps from the Westin San Francisco Market Street.

Make your travel plans now and join us in San Francisco. I look forward to a fabulous meeting and hope to see you there.
