The Litigation, Ethics and Malpractice Group (Chaired by Steven Mignogna) is comprised of two Committees: the Probate and Fiduciary Litigation Committee (Chaired by Anthony La Ratta); and the Ethics and Malpractice Committee (Co-Chaired by Dana Fitzsimons and Jessica Uzcategui). The Group has quarterly conference calls to discuss hot topics and track national trends. The next call will be on January 8, 2014 at 12:30pm CDT/1:30pm EDT. Dana Fitzsimons will review 13 of the most significant fiduciary litigation cases of 2013, and discuss current trends in fiduciary risk on this call. Any RPTE member interested in this practice area is encouraged to dial in- check the RPTE homepage for the call-in information.

The Group is also involved in three programs for the 2014 Spring Symposia CLE Meeting. Topics submitted for CLE programming are contested guardianships; the intersection between estate and real estate litigation; and managing difficult opposing attorneys. The Group maintains active web pages for each Committee and the Group itself. The members have also been active in publishing articles for the Section.
