2012 BAI Released: Signature Benchmark Reference for Bars
It's here. The 2012 Bar Activities Inventory, covering the latest bar operations data for nearly 200 bars around the country, has been published. The staple benchmarking tool, published once every three years, details bar operations in areas such as social media involvement, governance structure, and section policy.

Besides the full edition, this year's BAI can for the first time be purchased in one of four volumes, covering areas such as leadership/governance and communications. All editions include data analysis and summaries.

Both the full BAI and the volumes are available for limited-time discounts.

NABE Small Bar Conference Registration Open
NABE is inviting executives of small bar associations to participate in an "intense" summer conference in the heart of NASCAR country.

Known as the Small Bar Conference, the two-day program will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina from June 27-29. The agenda reveals a mix of social events and networking opportunities with brass-tacks discussions on topics such as managing finances and doing performance evaluations.

The program, held annually, is geared toward the makeup of small bar associations, defined as bars with small staffs, budgets under $300,000, or fewer than 1,500 members. This year's theme, "Gearing Up to Reach Peak Performance," reflects the city's status as home of NASCAR's hall of fame.

Early bird registration, which includes meal tickets and meeting materials, ends May 12. Scholarships are available for first-time attendees.

AM Registration Opens
Registration has opened for the 2013 NABE/NCBF/NCBP Annual Meeting, to be held August 6-10 in San Francisco in conjunction with the ABA's Annual Meeting. Register here.
