"Straight" Bankruptcy: Chapter 7

Will I lose some of my assets if I file for Chapter 7?

Under Chapter 7, you might well have to turn over many, if not all, of your nonexempt assets. What happens depends upon whether assets are classified as exempt or nonexempt.
