Summer Associate Challenge

Each year, the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service offers the Summer Associate Challenge for law firms providing pro bono legal services through ABA Free Legal Answers. The firms/corporate law departments that answer the most questions with the help of summer associates will be recognized by the ABA.

Need help with a legal question but can't afford a lawyer? We have your answer! ABA Free Legal Answers is a website on which you can submit your questions about civil (non-criminal) legal issues and receive answers from pro bono lawyers in your state. Legal questions are submitted online – all you need is an internet connection. Volunteer attorneys are able to answer your questions outside regular business hours – no need to attend a clinic or visit a legal aid office.

USDA Discrimination Financial Assistance Program and Public Benefits Webinar Training

This complimentary webinar will train volunteer attorneys and others, including ABA Free Legal Answers pro bono attorneys, to advise USDA Discrimination Financial Assistance Program (DFAP) award recipients about the impact of their award on public benefits. Panelists will be educating pro bono attorneys who volunteer to provide advice and for legal aid programs that anticipate serving recipients and want to learn more.
