Speaking the Language of Business

Presented by Karen Febeo, Matthew J. Rubins, and Betsy Munnell

Note: This is not for CLE. Part of the free Career Development Series, a monthly webinar series featuring practical tips from legal career experts. Live webinars are free and open to the public. The recorded program and materials are exclusively for ABA members.

Today, your success as a lawyer depends in part on whether you understand your clients work and the business world within which your client lives and competes. Learn from our experts how lawyers can set themselves apart – in client conversations, contract negotiations or the courtroom, by speaking the language of business.

In this program, we will consider:

  • Why lawyers need to be business literate – now, more than ever
  • How business literacy can help you deepen your professional relationships and excel as a lawyer
  • Ways to develop business literacy, and build and maintain fluency over time
