Description

The #MeToo movement has encouraged victims of sexual assault or abuse to come forward, but many lawyers are unfamiliar with the special considerations that civil sexual assault cases require.  We will discuss how to bring a civil lawsuit on behalf of men, women, and children who have survived assault, abuse, or rape; how sexual assault cases differ from other personal injury cases; when and where to file a lawsuit; what causes of action to consider when filing a lawsuit; and how to start litigating sexual assault cases if you don’t have prior experience in the field.
