Description

The Career Choice Series is designed to help you choose your career path. Whether you’re a law student, young lawyer, or transitioning attorney, find out what it’s like to work in various practice areas and the best way to position yourself to get there.

In this segment, our speakers will share their paths as sports law attorneys. Sports Law encompasses a variety of legal issues that affect the sports industry whether it be in the professional, Olympic, collegiate, amateur, or youth settings. Sports law touches upon almost every legal practice area including contracts, licensing, labor and employment, criminal, media, antitrust, personal injury, and intellectual property. Lawyers who work in sports can represent athletes, work in-house for a specific team, league, players association, brand or agency, or they can work as outside counsel representing any of the aforementioned entities.
