ABA ROLI hosted institutional strengthening workshops aimed at strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations for the formulation, planning and management of projects in partnership with international alliances. 

Module 1: Tools for Project Management and Project Closure

Session 1. Basic Project Theory and Access to Sources of Financing
August 24, 2023

The first session was aimed at strengthening civil society organizations' capacity to formulate, plan and manage projects in partnership with international agencies.

During this session, ABA ROLI presented: a) the main trends in funding opportunities; b) strategies for accessing funding sources; and c) the concepts and basic elements of a project theory.

Session 2. Project Management Tools

The second session aimed at strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations for the formulation, planning and management of projects in partnership with international cooperants. During this session, ABA ROLI taught strategies to distinguish tools for the management of projects with international cooperants.

Session 3. Strategic Tools for Project Closure
September 21, 2023

During the last session, ABA ROLI presented basic elements of project closure, including time, results, lessons learned, review, and improvements. ABA ROLI also facilitated a discussion on the types of sustainability in international cooperation programs, including i) Elements for structuring an exit strategy or sustainability of programs, and ii) Guidelines for conducting lessons learned scenarios and some recommendations.
