Please consider supporting Congolese young women as they strive to make their dreams—and full realization of women's rights in DRC—a reality. Your contribution to the DRC Legal Scholarship Fund will help cover the costs of tuition and fees, as well as student participation in two internships with local organizations, courts and ABA ROLI's own legal aid clinics. The average cost per student is just $1,700 annually, and $7,000 can support a scholarship recipient through graduation.

Photos: Reception on Empowering Women Lawyers in the Fight Against Impunity in the Democratic Republic of Congo
The ABA Rule of Law Initiative and Cynthia's Sisters, an organization of committed volunteers in the Bay Area, are working together to invest in a new generation of women leaders in the DRC, by supporting law school scholarships. Each scholarship recipient is carefully selected and evaluated based on her academic record, financial need, future goals, and her plans for the use of her scholarship to promote justice and human dignity through the rule of law. Since 2011, thanks to donations from individuals, the scholarship program has enabled thirty women in the DRC to attend law school.
